Eating Disorders and Dental Erosion: A Systematic Review

Both eating disorders and dental erosion are increasingly affecting adolescents young adults. Thus, our systematic review was designed to answer the question: “Is there a relationship between disorders?” Following inclusion exclusion criteria, 31 studies were included in this (according PRISMA statement guidelines). Based on meta-analysis, 54.4% of patients with bulimia nervosa 26.7% anorexia experienced tooth erosion. For whole group 1699 disorders, erosive lesions observed 42.1% patients.
